Please ensure your Head Teacher completes the attached report template and uploads it in the 'COVER LETTER' section of your application before the deadline. A cover letter is not required.
For Vacancies at Denominational Schools:
Applicants must obtain Catholic Church Approval when submitting their application and provide a copy to the Chair of the Panel before the interview. Pending approval, confirmation from the Church Representative will be sought.
Denominational Primary Posts:
Applicants must hold the Catholic Teaching Certificate or Catholic Religious Education Certificate. Forms and further information are available from the Scottish Catholic Education Service (SCES) website.
Denominational Secondary Posts:
Applicants need RC Approval for the specific school. Forms and details are accessible from the SCES website.
Responsibilities
* This position is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020; membership with the PVG scheme is mandatory.
* Preferred applicants will need to join the PVG scheme or undergo a check before a formal offer is made.
* The employment is excepted from certain provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants must disclose all convictions, including spent ones, which could impact employment or registration.
