A rare and exciting opportunity to join our Events team has become available. As an Event Coordinator, you will effectively manage and facilitate corporate & social events while exceeding financial goals and customer expectations.
A little bit about what you will be doing:
* Establish productive relationships with all meeting planners through the planning and implementation of programs
* Plan, organise, and coordinate assigned conventions, including all food and beverage, meeting room setup, recreational activities, and ensure proper billing is maintained
* Consistently perform standards of service, interact with guests/clients and all hotel employees in a professional, gracious, and friendly manner
* Provide hotel departments with thorough information on all banquet events to ensure high levels of service and guest satisfaction
* Follow through with distributed information (BEOs, Resumes, Group Cover Sheets) to operational departments to ensure understanding and proper execution as per the meeting planner’s expectations
Qualifications:
* Service-focused personality is essential; experience within events is an asset
* Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
