Are you an operational leader who thrives in fast‑paced, complex and regulated environments? Learna, one of the UK’s leading online medical education providers, is seeking an Operations Director to help scale a business transforming how healthcare professionals learn.
Learna delivers university‑accredited postgraduate medical programmes, serving healthcare professionals globally through a long‑established B2C model that offers flexible, clinically relevant online learning. We are now accelerating our B2B expansion, working directly with NHS organisations, professional bodies and international partners to deliver tailored workforce‑development solutions at scale.
Based in Cardiff, you will take full ownership of the operational engine behind our 60‑person organisation—spanning Student Registry, Programme Management, Admissions, Student Services, Quality & Compliance, and IT. This COO‑style position shapes day‑to‑day delivery, strengthens assurance and certification (including ISO 9001 within the first six months), and drives service quality across the entire student and partner lifecycle.
You will bring substantial operational leadership experience from online education, regulated services, higher education administration or similar environments, motivated by building scalable systems, high‑performing teams and a clear operational rhythm.
In return, we offer a competitive salary of £80,000–£100,000 depending on experience, a performance‑related bonus, real scope to influence operational strategy and organisational growth, professional development and support for relevant qualifications, and a pragmatic, outcome‑driven culture focused on clarity, accountability and continual improvement.
This role requires a strong on‑site presence (minimum four days per week) at our Cardiff office to support collaboration and effective operational leadership.
