Job Description About the Role: Ready to start your Joules Journey? Step into the role of Assistant Fabric Technologist (12 Month Fixed Term Contract) here at Joules Head Office! What to expect on a day to day basis: To work with and support the Kidswear and Special Purchase Team with their day to day duties. Understand the Joules quality standards, processes and procedures and the part they play in driving customer satisfaction. Support the Commercial teams to ensure our products meet the Joules quality standard, from design through to production. Constantly drive improvement and innovation with regards to product quality and fabric performance in order to reduce customer returns thus drive revenue. Support the Fabric team with roll-ups, business level reviews and strategic seasonal cross costing projects. Complete risk assessments for all new fabrics and mills/routes. Support with colour and fabric development process from design through to supply chain. Work collaboratively to identify key fabric trends for the upcoming season and present findings to the Buying and Design teams. Ensure minimum parameters are set and monitored with regards to margin improvement and fabric consolidation. Collate information ahead of weekly CP meetings and highlight any risk, recommend solutions and support the Senior teams with issues that arise. About You: From a technical and operational perspective, it would also be advantageous if you have: A relevant qualification or relevant experience. A well rounded knowledge of raw materials, fibres, yarns and fabrics would be beneficial. Excellent communication and organisational skills. To be able to communicate with overseas suppliers. Where will you be working? This is a full time role based at ‘The Barn’ - Joules’ purpose built Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. This role is office based working onsite, as we believe this is where we make the best decisions together.
