Job Description
Role - Control Systems Engineer
Salary - £35,000- £60,000 per annum (Dependent on experience, please advise what you’re looking for)
Type - Permanent
Location - Near Glasgow
The Control Systems Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
* Be Degree/ HND/ HNC/ NVQ qualified in Electrical Engineering or similar
* 2 years or more of industry experience working in a similar Electrical Controls role ideally (strong Graduate’s may also be considered)
* Be confident carrying out the programming of control systems from scratch – i.e Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff)
* Have experience configuring Variable Speed Drives i.e ABB, Nidec etc.
* Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office programmes
* Excellent communication skills
* Flexible to travel as needed as part of the role
* Full Driving Licence
The Control Systems Engineer role will involve:
* Programming PLC’s from scratch
* Developing HMI and SCADA applications
* Working closely with Electrical Design Engineers
* Taking solutions from concept right through to commissioning
* Delivering projects on time and within budget
* Configuring Variable Speed Drivers
* Ensuring company standards are always adhered to
* Travelling to customer sites as required for commissioning activities
* Providing remote support for systems
* Creating the required documentation
