General Scope of the PostThe Senior Carer is responsible for the supervision of the service under direction of theRegistered Manager in accordance with the policy and guidelines laid down by Amber Care(Lincolnshire) Ltd.This will include the close supervision of all the staff, efficient and effective day to dayrunning of shifts and reviewing of care delivery in line with the service users' needs. You willbe required to work flexibly on a rota basis to meet the needs of the service. This will includeweekends and bank holidays.Principle Duties1. The implementation of systems of working which enable CQC compliance, forexample, providing evidence of how the service delivery meets the K.L.O.E.s.2. Meet Health and Safety legislative requirements, for example, risk identification,management and assessment.3. Supervise a team of carers in the delivery of care to the service users in line with thecare plan. Anticipate the needs of the service users, monitor/review the effectivenessof the care plan, make changes as necessary in compliance with arrangements withthe service user and manager, ensuring that the plan reflects changingcircumstances and current objectives, working in line with CQC regulations andpolicies and procedures on record keeping.4. Inspire the team to promote service user's dignity, choice, rights and independenceand ensure service users receive a quality service.5. Work within current national legislation and Amber Care's policies and procedures.

6. Ensure that all medications administered are recorded, in line with written policiesand procedures on drug administration.7. Safeguard vulnerable adults from abuse, recognising the signs of abuse and followAmber Care's procedures in the event of an allegation of abuse.
