We're looking for a service-driven and experienced Student Service Centre Manager to lead our Information Point and Student Support teams – the first point of contact, and guidance on a wide range of university topics for thousands of students, staff and visitors each year. You’ll play a key role in monitoring service performance, shaping how our frontline services operate, and ensuring they meet the needs of a diverse university community. In addition, you will contribute to service development, policy creation and quality‑assurance processes, participate in university-wide projects, and build networks across the organisation to support continuous service improvements.
You are a people‑focused leader with a passion for delivering excellent customer service. Your experience in large, complex service environments – ideally within higher education – means you’re comfortable navigating fast‑moving situations and balancing competing priorities. You bring strong skills in resource planning, performance management and service monitoring, and are confident using data and digital tools to understand service trends, evaluate service quality and make decisions that enhance the overall student experience. Above all, you communicate effectively, build strong relationships, deliver training with clarity, and coach others to grow. You value fairness, consistency and continuous improvement, and are committed to creating a supportive environment for all.
If offered a role, you will need to provide valid documentation confirming your right to work in the UK before employment begins. Guidance on acceptable documents is available via the Home Office Right to Work Checklist. This role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
