Production Technician
Job description
Based at Dyce, Aberdeen AB21 0GP, Onshore Position
Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
Using the company IT systems to view relevant information, input information as required.
1. Maintain own work environment ensuring personnel safety
2. Wear mandatory PPE and highlight others to do so
3. Promote safe working.Enforce safety, working practices and good housekeeping
4. Ensure staff compliance with company procedures
5. Implementing control measures as identified in Task Based Risk Assessments
6. To advise Supervisors if amendments/improvements to work procedures required
7. Ensure safe use and maintain integrity of company assets
8. Comply with and promote the Company Business Management System, including Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements as appropriate.
9. Maintain detailed technical knowledge of ALL gas manufacturing processes – methods, timings and safety requirements. Maintain detailed technical knowledge of ALL gas plant.
10. Maintain stock levels of production requirements (liquids)
11. Manage and maintain traceable records of all aspects of all stock including liquids (through use of the Company Computer Systems)
12. Maximise gaseous relative to all liquid usage
13. Maintain and hold stocks of industrial gases for customer call-off
14. Maintain and hold consumable stocks required for industrial gas production
15. Ensure that all customers/drivers are dealt with in a courteous manner
Job requirements
Critical Competencies/Skills
·Counterbalance Forklift certificate
·Banksman / Overhead Crane certificate
·Manual Handling
·Good housekeeping
·Excellence attendance and punctuality
·Fluent English Skills – verbal and written
·Competent in use of Company Computer Systems
·Demonstrate competency to work to all relevant Company Procedures and Work Instructions
