CK International is a leading manufacturer of waste compaction equipment, and we are currently seeking skilled Welders to join our growing team. Job Purpose To build, wire, install, and test electrical control panels and machinery developed for the recycling industry. The role requires working with three-phase power systems, control wiring, and industrial machinery, ensuring all equipment is wired, tested, and commissioned safely and in accordance with electrical standards. The electrician will also provide accurate feedback and as-built electrical drawings to the engineering team. Key Responsibilities Control Panel Build & Wiring Build and wire electrical control panels from electrical diagrams Install and terminate three-phase power, control wiring, and auxiliary circuits Mount and wire components including contactors, relays, PLC I/O, drives, and safety devices Machine Wiring & Installation Wire industrial recycling machinery, conveyors, motors, sensors, and safety systems Install cable containment, trunking, conduit, and cable trays as Terminate motors, valves, and switches to panels. Carry out on-machine wiring during factory build and on-site installation when Testing & Commissioning Perform electrical testing including continuity, insulation resistance, and functional testing Assist with machine commissioning and fault finding Identify and rectify wiring faults and component issues Support engineers during machine start-up and handover Documentation & Communication Read and interpret wiring diagrams, and layout drawings Mark up drawings with changes made during build and installation Communicate clearly with engineers to provide accurate as-built electrical drawings Maintain records of testing and modifications Health, Safety & Compliance Work in compliance with electrical regulations and company safety procedures Ensure all work meets relevant standards (e.g. BS 7671, Machinery Directive) Maintain a clean and safe working environment Skills & Experience Required Essential Proven experience as an industrial or manufacturing electrician Strong experience with three-phase power systems Experience building and wiring control panels Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and schematics Experience wiring and testing industrial machinery Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills for feedback and documentation Desirable Experience in recycling, heavy industrial, or manufacturing environments Familiarity with PLC systems and variable speed drives Experience supporting machine commissioning Electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) To apply, please send your CV though our Bamboo Jobs opening page or call 028 8775 3966 for more information.
