Our prestigious client, a leading manufacturer in their field, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator / Setter to join their team. With a commitment to operational excellence and producing high-quality products, they are looking for a professional who can ensure the optimal functioning of their manufacturing processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
* Operate production equipment safely and efficiently to meet production plans and quality standards
* Conduct regular inspections, cleaning, and lubrication of equipment
* Work with maintenance and quality control teams to reduce breakdowns and defects
* Carry out changeovers
* Product washouts
* Material handling
* Monitor quality and report any issues or defects
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Basic mechanical awareness of factory automation principles
* IT skills in machine data and control systems
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
* Experience as a machine operator or in manufacturing industry preferred
* Ability to lift, carry, and move materials within agreed risk assessment limits
