Due to high demand, we are actively recruiting Support Workers to cover shifts in homeless hostels, Hubs, and supported living projects in the Hampshire area, specifically in Fareham and Gosport. We are looking for individuals with experience supporting homeless adults and post-16 young people, or those with a similar background managing challenging behaviours. Substance misuse experience is preferred but not required. Our client offers day shifts from 9:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with a minimum of one in every four Saturdays. This role involves supporting vulnerable adults across various locations during each shift, so applicants must have a full UK driving licence and their own vehicle (mileage can be claimed between locations). The ideal Support Worker will possess the skills and mindset to work with vulnerable individuals who have faced traumatic experiences. They will be emotionally resilient, patient, empathetic, and understand the importance of consistency in communication. The ability to establish and maintain safe boundaries between the Support Worker and the people they support is crucial, as these individuals may exhibit challenging and unpredictable behaviours at times.
