Summary
This rotational post is ideally suited to a Specialty doctor wishing to pursue the Portfolio pathway to Specialist registration. The Royal College of Psychiatrists has stated two eligibility criteria for Portfolio Pathway applicants:
1. Training completed outside of the UK - completion of a minimum 6 months continuous specialist training programme or a relevant qualification outside the UK, (e.g., MRCPsych equivalent) where you can provide an authenticated copy of the formal curriculum or syllabus (including assessment methods) that was in place when you undertook your training. (or letter from the awarding body outlining the content of the training programme or examination). Evidence of formal periodic assessment during your training would also need to be provided.
2. Training completed in the UK - completion of a minimum of 6 months continuous approved specialty training in psychiatry, where you can provide a copy of your signed off ARCPs for the completed time of your training.
