Title: Family Support Worker Salary/Rate: £1 3 per hour Location : Reading Hours: Full time (36 hours) / Part time (Up to 24 hours) / Bank Staff (0 Hours) We have an opportunity for experienced support workers for both day and waking night shifts to join our Residential Family Assessment Unit based in Reading Berkshire. We are looking for enthusiastic and committed people who are reliable and able to offer emotional and practical support to our residents. Flourishing Families Parental Assessment Centre is located in a quiet residential estate in Reading Berkshire. You will work under our Ofsted Registered Manager and our assessing S ocial W orkers and you need to be able to remain focused and calm and work in a family centred way and remain professional. The ethos of our Family residential home is to provide a homely and family-like environment to our service users. Job duties and expectations include: Ability to keep clear and accurate records. Good communicator and excellent interpersonal skills and good organisational skills. To ensure our unit is kept clean and in a tidy condition, adhere to the cleaning rota encouraging our residents to participate as appropriate. To ensure that good quality report logs are maintained as required. To maintain and promote family residential support work to high levels of professionalism expected by Flourishing Families Parental Assessment Centre and Ofsted Competent in the use of Microsoft office application All staff are required to respect the confidentiality of all matters that they might learn in the course of their employment. Draw the attention of the Manager/Team Leader on duty to any areas of concern. To complete all face to face on-line and mandatory training. To be a member of a team of professional staff caring for our residents. To implement and contribute to the development of Care Plans. To contribute to the provision of a secure, stable, supportive environment for the parent and child which respects and promotes their health, culture, religion, race, identity and lifestyle. To safeguard and promote the welfare of all our residents Schedule d s hifts will consist of the following: 12-hour shift s Day shift Night shift Weekend Shifts This role is not a 9-5 and will require the applicant to be flexible Education: Preferable one of the below qualifications : NVQ (Children) Level 3 and above Preferable Experience within : Residential Family Support in a mother and baby Unit.
