Overview
We’ve grown our business into a worldwide operation with established D2C, Retail and Marketplace channels running in multiple international markets. With Japan being one of our key international markets, it is vital that we deliver our Hueligans a best in class localised experience across touchpoints. We’re looking for a Digital Trading Manager for Japan to ensure we can grow the market sustainably while delivering to commercial objectives. You'll be responsible for trading the jp.huel.com website as well as managing marketplaces (i.e. Amazon); defining commercial activity then aligning business functions on its execution, providing local insight and driving actions that improve performance, being ultimately responsible for delivering sales and profit targets all while maximising new customer conversion and LTV. Working within our Digital Team, everyday is different. It’s a chance for you to come in and really take ownership of our Japanese market and build a name for yourself at Huel!
Here’s an insight into your day-to-day:
Responsibilities
* Act as the go to person for any query related to the performance of the JP market
* Responsible for growing Huel’s presence and driving sales on local marketplaces, including expansion onto new highly localised sales channels
* Define and deliver the market activity plan coordinating the execution across channels, including marketing campaigns, discounts & product launches
* Drive the completion of reactive trade actions across teams
* Work with performance marketing, partnerships and supply chain teams to drive efficiency across our cost base
* Define the JP playbook for growth with the Heads of the team and set the roadmap of trading initiatives to grow revenue, profit, new customer count and repeat rate
* Create business cases for JP trading initiatives and, with Finance, model activity to ensure profitability
* Own all market forecasting: daily phasing, monthly consensus planning, yearly budgets
What we’re looking for
This role would be best suited for someone with at least 3 years of experience working within ecommerce / marketing roles, preferably within the FMCG industry. It’s most important that you’re fluent in Japanese and have strong cultural experience, and bring a strong commercial background. We’re looking for someone with:
