Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30
Location: On-site, with some hybrid working available
Salary: £24,200 - £24,440
The Role: We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Quality / Technical Support Specialist to provide high-level technical and quality support to our customers, primarily within the food supplement and ingredient sector. Key responsibilities include:
* Provide quality and technical support to customers regarding food ingredients and supplements
* Interpret and respond to customer queries using available technical data
* Liaise with suppliers to obtain additional technical information where required
* Review and verify supplier information to ensure compliance with food safety, legal, and quality standards
* Support customer and supplier complaint investigations
* Complete customer portals, questionnaires, and documentation relating to products, supplier sites, and quality systems
* Interpret analytical test results and assess compliance with technical specifications
* Validate and maintain product technical documentation
* Ensure compliance with HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, food safety standards, allergen controls, and relevant food legislation
* Deliver excellent customer service through timely and accurate communication
The requirements: To be successful in this role, you will have these essential skills and attributes:
* Outstanding attention to detail and ability to manage multiple products and customer relationships
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
* IT literate with proficiency in key Microsoft packages
* Exceptional analytical skills
* Excellent organisational and planning skills
Desirable:
* Degree in Science or related discipline
* Experience working with large product portfolios
* Familiarity with quality management systems and supplier approval processes
* Knowledge of HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, food safety standards, allergens, and general food legislation
* Experience within food ingredients, supplements, or food manufacturing
* Ability to interpret technical specifications and laboratory test results
* Experience supporting complaint investigations
