The Role: Operations Director
Adecco are pleased to be partnering with HACT to source for them their new Operations Director, you'll be a key member of the Executive Team, responsible for leading our day-to-day operations and driving our commercial success. You'll shape and deliver our business plan, manage our finances, and lead a high-performing team to deliver consultancy, research, and digital products that make a real difference.

You'll lead a talented and passionate delivery team, keeping our consultancy, research, projects, and product development on track and thriving. Whether it's supporting our platform, overseeing professional services, or guiding flagship initiatives like the Centre for Excellence in Community Investment, you'll be hands-on and deeply involved.
But that's just the beginning.
You'll also take the lead on strategic innovation developing our next generation of social value tools, expanding our consultancy partnerships, and scaling our trading subsidiary, HACTHAL. With three Leadership Team members, key heads of function, contractors, and external accountants reporting into you, your influence will be felt across the organisation.
Working closely with our Business Development Director and reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you'll also play a vital role in shaping our future alongside our Board. You'll be a trusted advisor and key contributor, providing regular, data-driven insights into our financial health, operational performance, and strategic progress. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence decision-making at the highest level, ensuring that our governance is robust, our ambitions are grounded in sound planning, and our impact is maximised. You'll collaborate with a committed and forward-thinking Board that values transparency, innovation, and the transformative potential of social housing, making this a highly rewarding leadership position for someone ready to drive meaningful change.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead HACT's operational delivery, ensuring efficiency, quality, and impact.
* Manage finances, budgets, and performance reporting with strategic oversight.
* Drive commercial growth, including SaaS platform development and consultancy services.
* Lead and coach a talented delivery team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
* Represent HACT externally, building strategic partnerships and championing our mission.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in business operations, financial management, and team leadership.
* Strong commercial acumen and experience in enterprise or SaaS environments.
* A strategic thinker with a collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset.
* Skilled in product development, contract negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.
* Passionate about social impact and the transformative potential of housing.
