Working for the region's leading voice for mental health, community, learning disability and autism services, you'll take pride in creating a culture of engagement to inform future communications activity for targeted stakeholder groups including our patients, colleagues and communities.
We are looking for a passionate, dynamic and collaborative individual to join our busy Communications Team. It's a new, hybrid role with opportunities to get out and about in our services and communities across Lancashire and South Cumbria, getting to know what matters to them and how we can reach those with influence.
You will be experienced in engagement and associated processes, with a background in market research to inform engagement, a knowledge of formal consultation processes and a proven ability to form strong partnerships.
Responsibilities
* Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to translate complex technical issues into easily understandable language. You should be comfortable speaking to everyone including senior leaders, patients, families, MPs and those who live within the area we cover.
* Someone who has delivered and has knowledge of engagement strategies, plans and campaigns.
* A highly motivated team player who can work closely with communications colleagues, as well as from their own initiative.
* Someone with knowledge of Lancashire and South Cumbria, our community groups, external partners and other key stakeholders who we can work closely with, to support engagement goals.
* An individual with a passion for community development and inclusivity.
* The ability to collect, interpret and analyse feedback to improve services and inform approaches.
* Event planning experience and someone who is comfortable attending events and representing the Trust.
* Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports on engagement activities.
* Someone who is confident to share their expert engagement advice to colleagues at all levels.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualifications: Degree level qualification or equivalent in: Marketing, Engagement and consultation, Public engagement, Community engagement and belonging, Market research
* Knowledge: Knowledge of engagement strategies, plans and campaigns; ability to deliver presentations and training
* Experience: Experience in dealing with people face to face; experience of undertaking varied market research techniques; experience of involving patients, carers or the public; experience of updating and developing internet and intranet sites using CMS
Skills
* Excellent written and communication skills including the ability to translate complex technical issues into easy to understand language.
* Ability to work independently and exercise judgement on forums and events to attend.
* Ability to work with challenging stakeholders and empathise with their priorities whilst taking action to resolve their issues
