What you'll be doing:
* Designing and managing ecological surveys and associated mitigation
* Undertaking extended phase 1 habitat surveys, UK Habitat Classification surveys, phase 2 and protected species surveys
* Producing and reviewing a range of reports
* Liaising with clients, professional advisors, contractors and the general public.
* Building and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors and other third parties
* Project Management

To apply for this role you will need:
* 4+ years post-graduate experience in ecological consultancy
* Bachelors degree in a relevant subject and Associate membership of CIEEM or higher
* Strong field skills covering a range of protected species and habitats, ideally with at least one survey license or working towards
* Knowledge of BREEAM, Defra Biodiversity Metric, and UK Habitat Classification with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and planning policy
* Experience writing fee proposals, managing projects and liaising with clients
* Excellent report writing skills / experience (including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and Ecological Impact Assessments)
* Full UK manual driving license
* To be in the based South of England or Midlands
