We're looking for a Systems Engineer to join an expanding technical architecture function, supporting complex, high-assurance programmes across defence, national security and government sectors. You'll work within a skilled team delivering cutting-edge, mission critical capabilities.
Due to the sensitive nature of the work, active DV Clearance is essential.
The Role
You'll play a key part in the design, build and delivery of secure systems, contributing from early requirements definition through to architecture, implementation, integration and testing. The environment is varied, collaborative and fast-moving, working alongside engineers, architects, analysts and customer stakeholders.

Support the development of technical architectures, specifications and engineering solutions.
Create and contribute to test, integration, verification and validation activities.
Operate across multiple stages of the systems lifecycle in agile delivery settings.
Communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Help strengthen engineering capability within the wider practice.
Provide guidance to junior engineers and support knowledge sharing initiatives.
Engage with clients and assist with growth and opportunity development where needed.
About You
You bring a structured, methodical engineering mindset, excellent communication skills and a track record of delivering high-quality outputs either independently or as part of a wider team.
Essential Skills
Experience capturing, managing and refining requirements with strong stakeholder engagement.
Background in Defensive Cyber, Enterprise Architecture or secure system engineering.
Verification and validation experience on large or complex technology programmes.
Model-Based Systems Engineering knowledge (ArchiMate, UML/SysML).
Experience with requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS or similar).
Desirable Skills
Experience supporting defence or government delivery environments.
Awareness of system security and assurance principles.
Experience working in Agile delivery models.
Previous consulting or client-facing experience.
Desirable Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Professional registration such as INCOSE ASE, IEng, CEng or equivalent.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF).
