We are looking for the next nanny for one of our lovely families in central London. This is a kind, friendly, fun and welcoming family, but also very busy! They need a capable, confident, energetic, flexible, adaptable and loving nanny. This is one of our returning families. They employ at least one other nanny (after school) / and a housekeeper. They have 3 children. You will primarily be responsible for their youngest child, a daughter aged 5 years. She is very sweet and well behaved. The most important requirement is to be kind, trustworthy, reliable, get on with the children very well and speak to the children in German Hours - Job Description: The nanny will primarily take care of the little girl (4years) and will be responsible for her routine. - Specific duties include: Drop off and pick up from nursery, manage the girl's after school schedule and play dates (especially supporting the relationships she is building right now with her friends), prepare educational activities, organize and tidying her roomplayroom (only light housework), - to accompany the family on their travels during school vacations (Country side, Germany, Mallorca) - to work together as a team with the other nanny and staff in the household - Occasionally taking care of the two brothers (9 & 11), especially encouraging them in the German language - to only speak in German with the children to continue to strengthen their language skills - No need to cook Ideal candidate: - happy and outgoing - Being able to take over all responsibilities for the children - little girl in particular - Ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, having the children's wellbeing as a highest priority - Being loving and full of fun, excited to explore new things with the little one - Passionate about childcare - experience with children between the ages of 5-12yrs - Education in early years / knowledge about child development - Knowledge about bilingual learning opportunities Requirement: - fluent German speaker (with no accent) and very good English skills - Driving highly desired, in Germany and Mallorca. The parents only speak German to the children, but as they work they are not always around. Parents both work full time. They live on the Notting Hill/ Kensington border close to Notting Hill tube station. They would like nanny to live within a reasonable commuting distance. The family is looking for a full time nanny. Hours to be agreed with nanny, but can be anything from 40-50 per week- it is up to you. They would like some occasional help at the weekend. Salary offered depends on your skills, experience and how many hours you work, but generally from £60-£80,000) The family owns homes abroad in Germany and Mallorca and they go there during school holidays. They would like nanny to go with them. The houses and gardens are large and nanny can go riding, swimming in the pool, play tennis on the court etc. It is fun, and this is enjoyable for their nannies. Must speak fluent German, preferably with Hoch Deutsch, (so that the children will not learn a different regional accent or dialect). Job starts asap. Family has no pets and does not require driving when in London. Requirements Fun, flexible-minded, active nanny, with lots of initiative and energy. Trustworthy and reliable. EU passport and able to spend time in Germany and Mallorca (Spain) on occasion Settled or Pre-settled status in UK. Up to date Enhanced DBS (you can apply through Kinder Nannies & Staff) Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate Right to work in UK (& already living in the UK) and have proof Good references for recent and relevant nanny work Able to run after small children Be able to engage in play at floor level for extended periods of time and get up from the floor quickly. Fluent German Able to cook nutritious meals Living within short commutable distance of Notting Hill Gate or Kensington High Street tube stations. For the right person a studio apartment could be provided. Please note this is a strictly Non smoking position.
