The role
As Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise within our production and warehouse facilities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient production flow and ensuring timely delivery of materials to var-ious departments. You will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.
As a Stock Locator at IPL you will:
•Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to load, unload, and transport materials.
•Supply production lines with raw materials and remove finished goods to designated storage areas.
•Perform daily equipment checks and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
•Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
•Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
•Assist with general production/warehouse duties as needed, including packaging, labeling, and organising materials.
•Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow.
What you will bring to the role:
•High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
•Valid forklift operator certification/license required/ Forklift certifications – Counterbalance, Reach truck and PPT
•Minimum of 1–2 years of experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
•Understanding of warehouse and/or production operations and safety procedures.
•Ability to operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, pallet jacks).
•Good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
•Basic math and computer skills for inventory tracking.
•Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
