Exciting Financial Reporting Analyst Role
We are currently seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join a growing firm/team. This role involves technical reporting responsibilities as well as business-facing tasks, requiring the candidate to translate reporting and numbers for the wider business. The position can be based in London, Cheltenham, or Birmingham, with a hybrid working policy of 2 days in the office and 3 days at home per week.
Key Responsibilities
* Leverage knowledge of the Aderant database, data warehouse, and SQL to deliver reporting solutions.
* Assess data/reporting requests and recommend suitable platforms.
* Specify, build, and deploy SSRS reports for business reporting needs.
* Utilize PowerBI for data visualization and reporting requests.
* Develop the firm's PowerBI suite, which is in early stages of development.
* Produce high-quality ad-hoc reports.
* Understand the data warehouse model to create and distribute insights and reporting solutions.
* Insert cost data into the Aderant Spotlight profitability cube for client and matter-level profitability reporting.
* Promote the importance of data quality across the organization.
Candidate Requirements
* Ability to learn the firm's systems, data, and processes, and understand the audience.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Team player capable of working with various departments and building stakeholder rapport.
* Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize.
* Advanced IT skills in Microsoft Excel.
* Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases, with experience using SSMS.
* Experience with Microsoft BI technologies, including SSRS and Power BI.
* Knowledge of Aderant or similar Practice Management Systems and the legal sector.
