The Role:
Assist the Agent in civil engineering operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards. Lead the engineering and site supervision team for a specific project section.
Key Responsibilities:
* Comply with policies and procedures, including method statements, risk assessments, and briefings.
* Support the Agent with cost management and programme production.
* Manage, supervise, and mentor site engineers to ensure high engineering standards and record keeping.
* Coordinate with commercial staff for measurement and payment records.
* Liaise with the Agent to allocate resources and design schemes.
* Inform the Agent of any potential commercial or contractual issues.
* Manage ordering processes and supplier relationships for timely delivery.
* Manage subcontractors to ensure service delivery and policy compliance.
* Promote company values in dealings with all stakeholders.
* Prepare and deliver daily activity briefings and maintain project diaries.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Experience at section engineering level, including civil and services.
* Knowledge of commercial and contractual aspects.
* Experience in a cost-conscious environment.
* People management skills.
* Experience managing subcontractors.
* CSCS card.
* Flexibility.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in airport or critical area projects.
* Experience working in international organizations.
* Stakeholder management skills.
* Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers or equivalent.
