Job: PMO Manager
Location: Exeter, UK (Hybrid – 2 Days On-site per Week)
Work Type: Contract – Initial 6 Months (Inside IR35)
Introduction
We are currently seeking an experienced PMO Manager to support a large-scale Digital Transformation programme for our client based in Exeter. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned PMO professional with strong stakeholder management capabilities and experience working within technology-driven environments.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving PMO governance, programme reporting, RAID management, and delivery coordination across multiple workstreams, working closely with senior stakeholders and technical teams including DevOps engineers.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage PMO activities across ongoing digital transformation initiatives
* Oversee governance, reporting, planning, and programme controls
* Manage and maintain RAID logs, ensuring risks and issues are tracked and mitigated effectively
* Coordinate cross-functional delivery activities across technical and business teams
* Engage with senior stakeholders to provide clear programme visibility and status reporting
* Support resource planning, dependencies, and delivery timelines
* Ensure PMO best practices, standards, and processes are consistently applied
* Manage and mentor PMO team members where required
Required Experience & Skills
* Minimum 5 years’ experience working within PMO functions
* Proven experience managing sizeable PMO teams
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* Experience supporting large-scale Digital Transformation programmes
* Previous experience working alongside technical teams, ideally DevOps engineers
* Strong expertise in RAID log management and programme governance
* Excellent organisational and coordination skills
* Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced delivery environments
Desirable
* Experience within Agile or hybrid delivery environments
* Familiarity with project delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar
* Previous experience within enterprise IT or technology transformation programmes
Working Arrangement
* Hybrid working model – 2 days per week on-site in Exeter
* Initial 6-month contract
* Inside IR35
