Starting Salary: GBP 31,000 - GBP 40,500 Depending on Contact Chosen

This role is suitable for engineers with experience in plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural equipment, or similar machinery. It is also an excellent opportunity for vehicle technicians seeking to transition into a new industry, as full training will be provided. Candidates should demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, with ideally some engine diagnostic and electrical skills.
The company manufactures forklift trucks. The role involves carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs on forklifts and related equipment within Shrewsbury and Wrexham. No extensive travel or overnight stays are required. Overtime is available mainly during weekdays.
Role Overview:
* Perform PPM and breakdown repairs on materials handling machinery as a field service engineer
* Provide reactive breakdown coverage within the designated area
* Complete comprehensive training to become fully competent with all machinery and equipment
* Spare parts are delivered to the van overnight
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience with plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural machinery, or automotive/motor trade background
* Engine diagnostics and basic electrical skills
* Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject is preferred
