Night Shift Maintenance Engineer
Location: Bradford
Shift: Mon-Fri | 22:00 - 06:00 (Permanent Nights)
We are recruiting a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a well‑established, forward‑thinking manufacturing business in Bradford, operating in the print and packaging sector.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs
- Diagnose faults and implement effective engineering solutions
- Maintain and improve high‑speed production and packaging equipment
- Monitor machine performance and proactively address issues
- Work on a range of electro‑mechanical systems including PLCs, controls and pneumatics
- Accurately record maintenance activity, downtime and parts usage
- Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site standards
Equipment
Equipment includes: litho & digital presses, high speed printing machinery, cut & crease, gluing and finishing machines.
About You
- Apprentice trained or time‑served engineer
- Multi‑skilled (mechanical & electrical)
- Experience of maintenance in manufacturing environment (print/packaging desirable)
- Strong fault‑finding skills and ability to work autonomously
