Salaried GP 4 Sessions per Week - Wednesdays & Fridays
Hucclecote Surgery has an exciting opportunity for a Salaried GP to join our well-established, stable, and innovative GMS training practice. Located on the outskirts of Gloucester City, the practice has a patient list of approximately 9,000, is CQC rated Good, and will be moving to a purpose‑built new surgery in early 2027. This position offers 4 sessions per week, with structured AM and PM sessions, 15‑minute face‑to‑face appointments, 10‑minute telephone consultations, and 60 minutes of GP‑bookable follow‑up slots per day.
GPs receive a monthly administration session, and there is a 40‑minute daily coffee break for peer support and communication.

Responsibilities
* Make yourself available for surgery consultations, telephone consultations, home visits, and query handling.
* Sign repeat prescriptions and manage paperwork and correspondence timely.
* Make professional, autonomous decisions regarding presenting problems.
* Assess health care needs for patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
* Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
* Develop care plans in line with patient goals and current disease management protocols.
* Provide counselling and health education.
* Admit or discharge patients and refer to appropriate providers.
* Record clear, contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
* Collect data for audit purposes.
* Prescribe following formulary, guidelines and NHS Gloucestershire guidelines.
* Participate in training and supervision of other clinicians.
* Undertake additional duties as requested.

* Annual NHS appraisal completed.
