Role Description:
This is a full-time / part-time opportunity for a skilled and creative Bespoke Furniture Designer specializing in residential projects at AstraKAT Designs Limited. The role involves designing custom furniture solutions, developing functional layouts, and creating tailored pieces that align with client needs, space requirements, and aesthetic preferences.
The position includes residential site visits, client consultations, and collaboration with production and installation teams to ensure precise execution and high-quality finishes. Designers with their own transport may find scheduling more flexible; however, travel planning support can be arranged when required.
We welcome freelance designers interested in collaborating on bespoke residential furniture projects.
This role offers the opportunity to work directly with clients and oversee the end-to-end design process for fitted wardrobes, kitchens, media walls, walk-in wardrobes, storage solutions, and other custom-built furniture.
Qualifications:
Experience producing detailed drawings and technical specifications for custom furniture manufacturing.
Strong design software skills (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools) and 3D visualization ability.
Excellent client communication, project management, and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
Willingness to attend residential site visits as part of the design process.
Preferred:
Driving licence / own transport (helpful but not required)
Experience in residential projects, kitchens, wardrobes, or bespoke furniture design
Degree or formal training in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
