Newham Talking Therapies (NTT), Centre for Clinical Excellence, is looking to recruit a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist/High Intensity Therapist to join a high performing, dynamic and creative team. Main duties of the job
Who are we looking for?
We are looking to recruit a passionate Senior Clinical Psychologist/Counselling Psychologist/ Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. You would be joining a dynamic management team and support the service in delivering the main KPIs by providing creative leadership in your specialist area and supporting the performance and development of a small team of therapists under your direct line management.
You would oversee the service provision of CBT including waiting list management, clinical supervision and CPD. You would also hold a small caseload of both face-to-face and remote therapy clients. Currently our staff are attending our clinical buildings one day a week and then working the rest of the week at home, this would be continually reviewed in line with our clinical demands.
This post is offered as permanent (full time), with the expectation that all clinical staff work one late evening per week (12pm until 8pm). We are unable to consider part time applications for this post,. Thi is due to it being the only CBT Lead post in the service and there being a substantial service need for the post holder to progress queries related to their specialist area throughout the week.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You should have:
HCPC registered Counselling or Clinical Psychologist
with BABCP full accreditation or working towards this
OR
Psychological Therapist with qualification equal to Level 7 PG Cert and/or PGDip and/or Masters level and/or core mental health training e.g. nursing, social work.
A recognised group training by a registered provider.

10. HCPC registered Counselling or Clinical Psychologist
11. Must hold appropriate professional registration

12. Supervision training: IAPT course or other appropriate supervision course.

Experience
Essential criteria
14. Experience of working in an IAPT setting, or delivering treatment to primary care clients, liaising and consulting with GPs and community providers.
15. Experience of managing and supervising professionals from different backgrounds.
16. Experience of either managing or coordinating wait lists.
17. Experience in developing services to respond to User needs.
18. Work as an experienced psychologist/psychotherapist with advanced skills in at least one Psychological therapy modality.
19. Excellence and experience in the continuous improvement of high and/or low intensity interventions and coordinating the services of a range of practitioners and providers, with experience of delivering this within primary care and or an IAPT compliant service.
20. Experience of providing an autonomous clinical service to a diverse population.
21. Experience in managing and delivering to the expected performance targets.
22. Excellence and experience in IT and diary management that support own and the service’s clinical resources.
