Key Accountabilities:
* To be responsible for the issuing of packaging as per specification to the production team.
* To locate and select the correct quantity of Packaging and Returnable Transit packaging in accordance with planned delivery schedules, ensuring quality checks have been conducted prior to stock being put away.
* To accurately organise packaging and equipment for all customers including film, boxes, pallets, trays and dollies ready for production, ensuring product is always handled correctly and there is no damage to the product or packaging.
* To ensure each piece of packaging and equipment complies with the specific customer instruction in relation to for example: Film, Label, Tray, Pallet, Pallet Labels, End Labels,etc.
* To unload Packaging into store or the yard using forklift or pump trucks, ensuring the correct customer details are attached to pallets. To record on the intake sheets if stock is incorrect and escalate to Materials Controller.
* To process arrivals, including transfers, conducting physical checks on incoming packaging and equipment, checking labels on pallets, scanning and receiving them into location using FLT and highlighting any discrepancies to the Materials controller
* To unload lorries using MHE, recording goods on-load sheets and checking reference numbers against POs. To create traceability labels using Prophet.
* To process orders for despatch in accordance with customer instructions and planned despatch schedules (using handheld scanners, pick sheets, MHE and checking labels).
* To load vehicles and ensure load plans are completed correctly, including trailer temperatures and trailer condition.
* To collate, move and check stock as appropriate ensuring Company procedures are followed and that physical quantities match the system stock, reporting stock levels using Prophet.
* Ensure returned or surplus stock to the stores is clearly documented and labelled and scanned appropriately where required. Returns are recorded in accordance with company procedures.
* To ensure any damage to equipment including MHE, Handheld Scanners, Pallet Racking and Doors, and any HACCP issues are reported without delay to the Materials Controller.
* In the yard, ensure pallets and cages meet production requirements, conduct stock checks and ensure required checks are completed. Ensure procedures are followed and the yard is kept tidy.
For all roles, candidates will be expected to demonstrate a good understanding of both verbal and written English. You will also be required to work well in a team, be flexible and have great attention to detail skills.

This role involves working our 2,2,3 continental shift pattern from 06:00 - 18:00.
This is an hourly paid role, paid in monthly instalments.
