About the Role
Are you an experienced Deputy Manager, Senior Support Worker, or Team Leader looking for the next step in your career? We're offering a rare opportunity to become a Trainee Registered Manager in our children's residential home in Castle Bromwich, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This role is ideal for someone ready to grow into a leadership position, with full support from an experienced senior leadership team to guide you through Ofsted registration and the development of a high-performing care team.

What You'll Be Doing
* Work alongside the Registered Manager and gradually take on full leadership responsibilities
* Develop the skills needed to successfully register with Ofsted (with full support provided)
* Support and lead the care team in delivering exceptional, child-centred care
* Ensure the home meets all Ofsted and regulatory standards
* Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding protocols
* Contribute to a trauma-informed, therapeutic home culture
* Liaise with social workers, families, and external professionals
* Take part in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement planning
What We're Looking For
* Experience as a Deputy Manager, Team Leader, or Senior Support Worker in a children's home
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and residential care regulations
* Passion for delivering high standards of care in EBD settings
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare – Essential
* Working towards or willing to complete Level 5 in Leadership & Management – Required
* Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills
* A confident, compassionate, and resilient approach to working with young people
* Full UK Driving Licence – Essential
