Clinical Lead Nurse. Dalton Court Care Home

* 40 hours per week
* 2 x 12-hour clinical shifts and 2 x 8-hour supernumerary shifts
Are you an experienced nurse with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional care? Join our team at Dalton Court Care Home as a Clinical Lead Nurse, where you’ll play a key role in guiding and supporting our nursing team to provide outstanding personcentred care.
Located in the lovely town of Cockermouth, Dalton Court is a 60bed purposebuilt home offering highquality residential, dementia nursing, and palliative care. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming environment that promotes comfort, wellbeing, and independence for all our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality clinical care across the home.
* Supervise, mentor, and support nursing and care staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
* Conduct clinical audits, risk assessments, and care plan reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
* Collaborate with the Home Manager and wider multidisciplinary team to implement best practices and drive clinical excellence.
* Act as a role model for compassionate care, promoting dignity, respect, and independence for all residents.
* Support with recruitment, induction, and training of new staff members.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding and incident reporting procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
* Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
* Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a care home or similar setting.
* Strong clinical knowledge and a proactive approach to care delivery.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
* A genuine passion for elderly care and a commitment to continuous professional development.
