Abingdon and Witney College are looking for a highly professional, experienced People Services Manager for a fixed term maternity cover to deliver an effective, high quality, customer focussed, varied advisory and support service to the College. Reporting to the Head of People Services, you will be working in partnership with department and faculty management teams to provide specialist, front line support. The role involves the line management of the Casework team, as well as support the delivery of the People Strategy through the People Services Management Team.
Key duties include providing professional and timely advice to support and coach line managers and employees on a range of employment lifecycle issues in a proactive and solution focused manner, ensuring that policies and procedures are consistently followed and updated with legal changes. To support the Head of People Services with employee engagement, wellbeing, recognition and inclusion activities.
The successful candidate will be a qualified member of the CIPD, have experience of managing a caseload of employee relations issues, and first line management experience, as well as having the skills to be able to manage a high workload, with accuracy.
