Title: Operational Assistant
Starting Salary: £23,000 FTE (pro rata £14,100)
Responsible to: National Operations Manager (Line Manager)
Contract: 21 hours per week
Locations: Perth & Kinross
Requirements
* Must be able to work from Monday to Friday and other hours flexibly as needed
* Subject to a successful PVG scheme record check
* Driving licence required
Duties
* Reception and telephone duties
* Cash handling and banking duties
* Photocopying, filing and mailing duties
* Any other general office task
* Assist in the collection of customer shopping lists
* Assist in the stores making up grocery orders
* Assist in the delivery of customer orders
* Support, assist and advise local branch-based staff and volunteers
Person Specification ~Essential
* a motivated and enthusiastic individual
* excellent communication skills
* basic office skills and experience of Microsoft applications
* a real 'people person' with a 'can-do' approach
* ability to work on own initiative and part of a team
* some understanding of the voluntary sector
* motivation to work with older people in the community
Person Specification ~ Desirable
* experience working in the voluntary sector and with volunteers
* experience working in service delivery
* experience of accounting software and systems
* awareness of older people's health and wellbeing issues
