Due to our continued success and expansion, we are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team and contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
Role:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play an integral role in the commercial management of our projects, typically valued between £250,000 and £10M. You will work alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors & Senior QS's to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of accurate cost estimates and budgets for projects.
* Support in the preparation and management of sub-contractor packages.
* Monitor and report on project costs, ensuring effective cost control measures are implemented.
* Assist with site measurements and valuations.
* Contribute to the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.
* Help to identify and manage risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
* Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
Key Requirements:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or working towards).
* Some experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role within the construction or fit-out industry (preferred).
* Knowledge of dry lining, interior fit-out, or commercial office fit-out projects is advantageous.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take ownership of tasks.
