This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience working in the CTMUHB prehabilitation team. This is a relatively new service driven by an enthusiastic and innovative multi-disciplinary team to optimise patients' health and wellbeing prior to treatment.
This is an exciting time for AHPs in CTMUHB. We are looking for visionary team members at all levels to guide and implement service development at pace to support people in CTMUHB to achieve their maximum potential – physically, cognitively, socially, and psychologically (AHP Framework, 2019).
You will be an integral part of the team comprising SLT, OT, Dietetics, and therapy support practitioners, as well as the wider multi-disciplinary team involving CNS, Diagnostic, Surgical, and Oncological teams.
You will be an innovative thinker, able to lead a new project, work autonomously and as part of a team, with skills in collecting and analysing data.
The right candidate will have a strong team ethos and will value involving clinical teams as an essential part of service development. The candidate will be supported with excellent opportunities for cross-disciplinary working and career progression, including the CTM's L&D offer and support for external learning.
Provide clinical leadership for physiotherapy aspects of prehabilitation, delivering specialist interventions throughout CTMUHB.
Manage a defined caseload of clients with complex needs in outpatient and community settings, using evidence-based, client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
Provide leadership for less experienced staff through supervision and appraisal as delegated by the supervisor.
Participate in planning, developing, and evaluating Physiotherapy Services within this area, holding responsibility for projects.
Contribute to the maintenance and development of the Health Board Physiotherapy Service.
Use highly specialised, advanced clinical reasoning skills to determine differential diagnoses.
Supervise Physiotherapy students on practice placements and other students regularly.
