Residential Support Worker - Children's EBD Home (Handsworth, Birmingham) Location: Handsworth, Birmingham Salary: £25,000 - £29,350 per annum (depending on experience) Sleeps: £50 per sleep Contract: Full-time, permanent Shift Pattern: 1 on / 2 off Howard Finley Care is delighted to be working on behalf of our client to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker for a children's residential home in Handsworth, Birmingham, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). This is a rewarding opportunity to join a supportive and child-centred service where you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment, helping young people build confidence, resilience, and positive futures. Key Responsibilities: Support young people on a day-to-day basis, promoting emotional wellbeing, independence, and positive behaviour Build trusting, professional relationships with children and young people Follow care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures in line with legislation and company policies Work collaboratively with colleagues, managers, and external professionals Accurately record and report on young people's progress and any incidents Requirements: Minimum of 1 year's experience working in a children's residential home - essential Experience supporting children with EBD - desirable Relevant qualifications (Level 3/4 in Children & Young People or equivalent) - preferred but not essential A genuine passion for working with children and young people Ability to work a 1 on / 2 off shift pattern, including sleeps If you're a caring, resilient individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people, we'd love to hear from you.
