Senior Project Manager
(Fixed-term contract, 14 months)
Overview
Our client is an insight-led communications consultancy specialising in making complex financial topics clear, accessible and meaningful for diverse audiences. Their clients include organisations within pensions, investment and insurance, and they are known for their collaborative approach and high-quality content delivery.
They are seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee all work delivered by a dedicated three-person content team. The role is offered on a 14-month fixed-term contract and can be full-time or 4.5 days per week. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard, while maintaining strong client relationships and managing internal workflows.
Hybrid working is available, with attendance at in-person client meetings and quarterly company days.
Responsibilities
• Lead project management for a three-person content team, overseeing all planning, scheduling and delivery.
• Create, manage and update detailed project plans across multiple concurrent assignments.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on time, on budget and aligned with client requirements.
• Price new work accurately and confidently, balancing resource needs with commercial considerations.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with key clients, representing the organisation professionally.
• Identify client needs, challenge unclear or inappropriate requests and provide clear guidance.
• Work autonomously to coordinate complex workstreams and manage shifting priorities.
• Attend in-person client meetings and participate in quarterly company-wide gatherings.
Requirements
• Strong track record of project management within an agency, consultancy or similar fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to plan, schedule and manage complex projects with confidence and independence.
• Ability to price and scope work accurately.
• Comfortable engaging directly with clients, identifying requirements and offering constructive challenge.
• Willingness to develop an understanding of financial services and the needs of related client sectors.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work within core hours of 10:00–16:00 on working days.

• Salary: £40,000–£55,000 per annum, depending on experience (pro-rated for part-time).
