Lunchtime Supervisor – Dixie Junior School
Monday to Friday 11.30am – 1.30pm Term Time Only (plus 2 INSET days)
We are recruiting for a part-time lunchtime supervisor to join our busy school team at the Dixie Grammar Junior School. This is an opportunity for a caring, practical person to join our successful independent selective co-educational day school in rural Leicestershire, term time only (c.35 weeks p.a.) role, plus 2 INSET days for training in the school holidays.
The quality of education and care at the Dixie has been continuously judged as excellent by the Independent Schools Inspectorate since 2015 and all staff play their part in our supportive and vibrant community.
The successful applicant will:
● be able to demonstrate a good level of understanding of support and care at lunchtimes for our youngest children aged 3-4, up to age 10 during lunchtimes
● should also either have a first aid qualification or be willing to undertake first aid training
● have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and pupils to ensure lunchtimes run smoothly
● be able to manage and be flexible to meet the needs of all pupils. The ability to work independently as well as cooperatively as part of a small team is essential.
Previous experience of working in an educational environment would be helpful but is not essential.
Key responsibilities will include assisting with the food service, carrying out cleaning tasks and supporting pupils and staff.
