Contract: Full Time / 12 Month FTC -Monday to Thursday, 08:30am – 16.45 & Friday, 08:30 – 12:30 (35 hours p/w) – Occasional travel. Hybrid working.

Whyte & Mackay Ltd is offering a unique opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our supply chain. * Lead end-to-end tender processes for key commodity groups, managing annual spend areas of £1 million+.
* Develop and implement strategic supplier partnerships that align with our sustainability and carbon reduction goals.
* Negotiate contracts that deliver the best total cost outcomes while upholding quality, compliance, and service excellence.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple sites to ensure procurement solutions meet both current and future business needs.

Skills and experience that will help you be a success:
For this role we're looking for:
* CIPS Diploma or equivalent procurement experience.
* Strong supplier relationship management and risk mitigation skills.
* Solid understanding of procurement best practices, including tendering and sustainable sourcing.
* Clear and confident communicator, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
* Analytical thinker with a knack for turning data into actionable insights.
* Skilled negotiator with the ability to influence outcomes internally and externally.
