We are a specialist all‑through school for learners aged 3–19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, including complex learning difficulties and associated conditions such as autism, Down Syndrome and physical disabilities. The Role:
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support students in their learning and wider development. This role is temporary to permanent, offering the opportunity to grow within a supportive and dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high‑quality support to learners with special educational needs, in class, small group and 1:1 settings.
* Assist teachers in delivering engaging and adapted learning activities.
* Support pupils’ personal, social and emotional development, encouraging engagement and independence.
* Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
* Collaborate with teachers and multi‑disciplinary staff to meet individual pupil needs.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience of working with children or young people, especially within SEN settings, is desirable.
* Empathy, patience and excellent communication skills.
* A flexible and positive approach to meeting varied pupil needs.
* Relevant qualifications or experience in education/SEN support are advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
