My client, an innovative, eco:conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Civil Engineer with a focus on Flood Risk and Drainage to join their diverse team of engineering and design specialists, near the lively, richly:cultural city of Liverpool.
Essential Criteria:
* An Initial or Higher Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or similar relevant discipline
* A specific interest in flood risk and drainage
* Demonstrable experience of having worked in a design:based role within a consultancy
* Experience of working with flood risk and drainage strategies, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)
* Good working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S38, S104, S106, etc.)
* Competent in the use of Flood Modeller, InfoDrainage, and a range of similar software packages
* The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Civil Engineer to have the following:
* Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, particularly when applied to report writing
* An analytical mindset
* Strong technical skills

* Preparing and issuing accurate technical information regarding projects, including drawings, calculations, and models
* Liaising with a range of stakeholders across the public and private sectors
* Contributing to and carrying out site meetings and inspections
* Developing and maintaining client and stakeholder relations
* Contributing to projects, adhering to industry standards, designated budgets, and agreed timelines
