Private Medical Secretary and PPU Consultant Co‑ordinator
We are looking for a Private Medical Secretary and Private Patient Unit (PPU) Consultant Co‑ordinator. This role provides high-level professional secretarial, administrative, and organisational support services across a portfolio of private medical practices, ensuring seamless delivery throughout the complete patient pathway. The postholder acts as pivotal liaison for patients and consultants, upholding exemplary service standards, operational excellence and highly responsive, patient‑focused environment. The role encompasses the full spectrum of private medical secretarial services for consultants joining Sulis, including end‑to‑end billing and financial administration using a patient management system. In addition, the postholder leads the coordination and engagement of consultants participating in the Sulis‑managed private practice service at the RUH, ensuring consistent communication, operational readiness and integration across services. The position also carries accountability for producing accurate monthly revenue reporting for all consultants operating under the Sulis or RUH private practice models.
You'll need to be a confident patient‑focused communicator with the ability to manage, appraise and interpret the right data and present it in a timely and professional manner. Experience in a patient‑facing environment would be a real advantage. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships are essential to the role. Full time 37.5 hours – Mon – Fri. Applications will be assessed and responded to as they are received. We reserve the right to bring forward the closing date if sufficient applications are received.
