As a Class 1 Driver, you will play a vital role in providing a professional customer delivery service while maintaining a safe and competent standard of driving. Location: South Normanton, Derbyshire Working Hours: 48 hours per week, Monday - Friday (Start times between 6 AM and 10 AM) Salary: £39,187.20 Key Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional customer care to ensure maximum satisfaction. Maintain a safe driving standard by adhering to speed limits, traffic signs, and parking restrictions. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods, following planned sequences unless otherwise authorised. Communicate any delays or issues with the transport office during your routes. Complete all necessary documentation, including proof of deliveries and uplifts, in accordance with agreed procedures. Obtain signatures from authorised customer representatives for all deliveries and collections. Safely deliver and collect goods, returning them to the site as instructed by the Manager. Accurately use and complete digital tachograph charts, recording hours, breaks, and working time. Conduct daily vehicle walkaround checks and maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle. Ensure the security of the vehicle and load, using appropriate safety measures. Report any risks, incidents, or security concerns immediately. Adhere to Health & Safety policies and present a smart appearance, including company uniform and PPE. Competencies: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work accurately and independently. Excellent customer care and loyalty skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks. Personal Attributes: Flexible approach to work and hours. Smart appearance with a good attendance record. Strong interpersonal skills with a confident and professional demeanour. Education, Knowledge, and Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years' Class 1 driving experience. Proven ability to use initiative and work independently.
