Salary: £38,682 - £46,580 FTE per annum - dependent on experience (salary will be pro rata for part time employees)
EACH Care Salary Band: 6
Working Pattern: Full and part time applicants considered

Our service is provided in a 24/7, 365 day environment; shifts include on call at weekends & Bank Holidays

EACH is offering a unique opportunity to join our team as a Symptom Management Nurse, with a structured 18month development programme designed to support you in progressing to a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) role.
We are looking for an experienced, registered Children, Adult or Learning Disabilities nurse to join us as Symptom Management Development Nurse.
The EACH Symptom Management Nursing Service (SMNS) provides a 24/7 specialist nursing, support and advice service to children with life- threatening illnesses and complex health care needs living across East Anglia.
You will be a point of contact for symptom management issues for professionals and existing teams in health, social care and education services across the statutory and voluntary sectors.
Do you have:
* Post registration experience delivering a wide range of clinical skills, including intravenous therapy?
* Experience of working in a palliative care service?
* Experience of working in the community
Are you:
* A Registered Nurse (Child, Adult or Learning Disabilities) with experience of caring for babies, children or young people in an acute, community, palliative or complex needs setting for at least 2 years?
* Committed to making a real difference to the lives of babies, children and young people with life-threatening conditions, and their families?
* Committed to your own continuing professional development?
To support your success, we will provide you with all the training and development required to deliver children’s palliative care including:
* Bespoke palliative and end of life care, clinical skills using the RCN (2025) Caring for Infants, Babies, Children and Young People requiring Palliative care Education Framework building up to working autonomously to provide holistic, evidence based, advanced level nursing care to BCYPs with life threatening or life limiting conditions
* Undertaking clinical assessments / consultations using face to face, telephone and virtual methods initially with support but gaining independence until competent to complete on own
* Managing a caseload within the EACH catchment area
* Develop, review and evaluate comprehensive symptom management plans
* Work collaboratively as part of a 24 hour “on call” rota. Initially with a buddy but working up to completing on own when able.
* Support to attend external training opportunities
* Regular clinical, safeguarding and management supervision to support your professional development.
