Field Engineer Welding Inspector
Field Engineer – Welding Inspector – Nuclear Energy

Key Responsibilities
* Perform continuous, notified, and planned surveillance to ensure works are constructed in accordance with contract requirements
* Notify the Construction Superintendent of non‑conformance requests and contribute to issuing non‑conformance reports
* Proactively communicate with site teams to ensure timely surveillance reporting
* Contribute surveillance information to support key performance indicators
* Identify potential quality issues early to enable proactive mitigating actions
* Support temporary measures to maintain safety and quality standards, preventing works from halting
Qualifications & Requirements
* Mechanical engineering, materials, or welding qualifications, or equivalent vocational training and experience
* Broad knowledge of the engineering construction industry, materials, trades methods, and legal requirements
* Excellent organisational and communication skills (knowledge of French is an advantage)
* Proven experience writing accurate and concise diaries relevant to the form of contract
* Proven track record of working within a large construction team
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain quality standards under pressure
* Working knowledge of British and European standards, including RCC‑M, BS EN, and ASME
