As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the daily lives of our residents, helping them develop essential living skills. If you are passionate about making a difference, this is the perfect opportunity for you to grow both personally and professionally! Where will I be working? Our services in Clayton offer 24-hour care for adults with Learning Disabilities and additional health needs. We are looking for compassionate individuals to support our service users who require a high level of assistance, including personal care and mobility support. Important: You MUST be a driver for this role, as you will be responsible for transporting service users to their daily activities and appointments.
Your Role and Responsibilities
What will I be doing? This is a dynamic, hands-on position where no two days are the same! Your responsibilities will include: Promoting the independence of the individuals we support Assisting with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, and outings Organizing engaging activities both at home and in the community Helping residents develop life skills and pursue personal interests Ensuring the safety and well-being of residents Providing personal care and support with daily needs Conducting manual handling as required Administering medication, including creams and lotions Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service monitoring

What skills and qualities do I need? While experience with learning disabilities and complex needs is a plus, it’s not a deal-breaker. What truly matters is that you are: Passionate, caring, and enthusiastic Flexible, patient, and non-judgmental A great team player with plenty of energy Skilled in effective communication Able to handle the physical aspects of the role, including manual handling Experienced in helping individuals manage anxiety
