About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experiencedSenior Healthcare Assistant to join a friendly, supportive community team wherepatient care comes first. The role involves visiting patients in their ownhomes and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide holisticsupport to patients and their families. From end of life care to supportingthose living with grief, you will help people live the best life they can whenthey need it most.
* Promote choice inthe delivery of care and support.
* Review and makesuggestions to enhance the service users experience.
* Observe serviceusers conditions and report changes.
Supportingservice users to have their views and experiences considered in the way theservice is provided and delivered.

About you
Ourinpatient unit offers the chance to care for patients with a wide range ofconditions, developing your knowledge while making a meaningful difference topatients and their families.
Sue Ryder is seeking dedicated Senior HealthcareAssistants with strong clinical skills, empathy, and a passion for deliveringhigh-quality end of life care when it matters most. The ideal candidate willhave at least one years experience in a UK health or social care role and aclear understanding of palliative, end of life, and community care.
UK driving licence and access to a cars. International Licenses do not meet the requirements
Ability to travel independently
Ability to assess and adapt care to meet individuals needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Awareness of person-centred and inclusive careprinciples
An NVQ 3 qualification in Health and Social care (orthe equivalent) is preferred; however, applicants with substantialrelevant experience (no less than 2 years), supported by evidence, are welcometo apply.
Experience delivering lone working care
Confidence in using digital care documentation tools
Sue Ryder provides a thorough 2 week induction with additionalsupernumerary time to settle into the role and full training/competencyassessment will be provided.
There is plenty of scope to further develop your ownskills in specialist palliative care.
