Day-to-day of the role: Assist the Head Housekeeper in overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department. Supervise and coordinate the activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms and public areas meet the hotel's rigorous standards of cleanliness. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure specifications are met. Manage the inventory of housekeeping supplies, placing orders and controlling costs effectively. Address guest complaints regarding housekeeping service and take immediate corrective action. Train and mentor housekeeping staff, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Assist in the preparation of the housekeeping budget and maintain records for housekeeping supplies. Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation policies throughout the hotel. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Head Housekeeper in a smaller hotel or as a Supervisor in a large hotel. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a high-pressure environment. Excellent organizational skills, with an eye for detail and the ability to multitask. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and standards. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
