Purpose of the Role:
To oversee the month-end cost accrual process including preparation of month end postings, analysis of performance against budget and last year, balance sheet reconciliations, and review.
Responsibilities include:
* Taking ownership of key account lines within the P&L, ensuring understanding of balances and accuracy of reporting
* Ensuring all month-end cost journals are calculated and processed accurately and timely for key account lines within the P&L
* Explaining variances compared to budget and last year
* Completing balance sheet reconciliations monthly, investigating and resolving variances
* Managing Fixed Asset Register, reporting on CAPEX vs budget, liaising with stakeholders
* Assisting in intercompany reconciliations
* Supporting year-end audit
* Ensuring accuracy and delivery of sales reporting
* Supporting ad hoc analysis across channels: sales, costs, profitability
* Building relationships and business partnering across the business
* Reviewing and redesigning reporting as needed
Key Skills/Experience:
* Qualified / Part-qualified and studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
* Advanced Excel skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong communication skills
* Team player with ability to work independently
* Multi-tasking ability
* Work well under pressure and meet deadlines
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills
* Time management and organisation
